I can’t get enough of this place. It’s a home-museum-library dream world!

When I first moved to NYC in the early 90’s, I spent so much of my time just wandering the streets soaking in everything the city had to offer. One of my favorite stores that not only served as an inspiration for New York Adorned but really made me want to get out and see the world, was Craft Caravan, on Greene St in Soho. This guy had such an amazing eye and there was just so much to see. He never minded that some young chick spent hours in there touching everything and never buying. I was so bummed when it closed. Now Ford has gone on to do Production Design in film and television. Check out The Selby for more pics of his amazing loft in Hells Kitchen and get to know him through this article in Paper Magazine written by Kim Hastreiter. This guy is real deal

Pier Antiques Show

March 15th, 2011 / by Lori / no comments / permalink

This weekend I went to the Pier Antiques Show right here in NYC. I saw so many beautiful things. I wish I was rich and had a 5000 square foot store. I would have bought tons. But I did take a few pics of some highlights for your viewing pleasure…

Last year my cousin Damion sent me a link to an Oddfellows piece of jewelry on Ebay that I wanted, NEEDED! ..and lost..

Ever since then, I’ve been searching for the same piece to no avail. But then lo and behold, here it is. And now it is mine for a mere $45. Thank you Oddfellow Gods and thank you The Pier Antiques Show.
