O’Harrow Pocket Squares

The pocket square. It brings images of Mad Men, The Rat Pack and just a general notion of fussiness over ones clothing. But say hello to O’Harrow Clothier’s updated versions of the classic accessory.

Claire Campbell Moseley started making the squares for friends in the back of her Silver Lake home, but soon the demand gave way to a full line. By cutting the size of the square from its usual 12” x 12” to a more functional 9” x ¬†9” these pocket squares are easy to grab and slip into front pockets of shirts and jackets, be they men’s or women’s styles. You can feel the quality of the fabrics that Moseley sources from Japan. The hand is supple and the weight is perfect for just a few, chic folds. Which is really all you need.

Retro Sun Vintage

Vintage Persols

Sunglasses are one of the most luxurious accessories to shop for, the best way to make a face feel powerful and protect your eyes from dangerous rays. Retro Sun Vintage was created when it’s owner, Nicole Miller, discovered a warehouse full of deadstock frames and began collecting them from all over the world. Fitting them with new hardware and upgraded, UV protectant lenses, they are revived to their original splendor with all the modern accoutrements. Stop by both of our stores to ¬†check out vintage frames by Persol, Nina Ricci, Gucci and Christian Dior among others. While you can only hope to look as good as our favorite East End customer Cole does in all of these sunglasses, glasses as cool as these will give you a real head start.

Afghani Jewelry Pouches

Afghani Jewelry Pouches

These vintage pouches are great examples of traditional Afghani craft. Created in the region bordering Afghanistan and Pakistan, these bags stitch together a mixed range of textiles to form wallets or the large traditional Tobacco Rolling bags with string closures used by desert nomads. They work great wrapping jewelry for traveling and can easily be adapted for more contemporary technology.
